Saturday 29 November – Art Exhibition & Music Evening

An exhibition featuring the work of some of Derbyshire’s finest contemporary artists alongside Yorkshire-based artist (and musician) Roger Davies. The exhibition offers visitors a chance to experience and buy a range of fine art, landscapes, and exquisite jewellery, culminating in a special evening concert by Roger Davies. The exhibition (£3 entry, or free for concert ticketholders) will feature:
Roger Allen – Fine Artist (Derbyshire)
Roger Allen captures the quiet beauty and rugged spirit of the British landscape. Working in oil, watercolour, and etching, his paintings reflect a deep connection to the Derbyshire Dales — from dramatic skies to the subtle play of light across fields and stone walls. His meticulous technique evokes both realism and emotion, offering viewers a timeless sense of place.
Amanda Graham – Jeweller & Artist (Derbyshire)
Amanda Graham creates distinctive jewellery inspired by the textures, patterns, and colours of the Peak District. Working in precious metals and incorporating semi-precious stones, her pieces combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Elegant and timeless, her jewellery is wearable art that reflects a deep connection to material, form, and the natural environment.
Barbara Glasson – Fine Artist (Derbyshire)
Barbara Glasson celebrates the beauty of landscape, colour, and form. Inspired by the hills, villages, and skies of the Peak District, her expressive paintings blend atmosphere and light, inviting viewers to see familiar places in vibrant, fresh ways. Working in acrylics, mixed media, and collage, Barbara’s distinctive style reflects a joyful connection to the landscape and an appreciation for nature’s rhythms.
Patricia Lane – Fine Artist (Derbyshire)
Patricia Lane captures the quiet poetry of the natural world. Inspired by the landscapes, gardens, and changing seasons of the Peak District, her acrylic and mixed-media paintings explore light, texture, and mood with sensitivity and grace. Layered colour and delicate detail transform familiar scenes into moments of stillness and beauty, celebrating nature’s calm, resilience, and enduring inspiration.
Diana Green – Fine Artist (Derbyshire)
Diana Green draws inspiration from the rolling hills, wild edges, and shifting light of the Peak District. Her paintings, primarily in acrylics and mixed media, balance abstraction and realism, inviting viewers to sense both place and emotion. With expressive mark-making and subtle layers of colour, Diana captures fleeting landscapes — a sky in motion, a shadow shifting — where the countryside feels alive and full of quiet energy.
Roger Davies – Artist and Musician (Brighouse, Yorkshire)
Joining the exhibition for the day, Roger Davies brings a unique blend of visual and musical creativity. Alongside showcasing his artwork, Roger will perform a special evening concert for attendees, offering a one-of-a-kind cultural experience that combines artistry with live music.
This exhibition, which is grant-aided by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, promises a celebration of Derbyshire (and Yorkshire)’s artistic talent, offering a welcoming space for the community and visitors to connect with local creativity and enjoy an evening of live music.
