What’s happening…George pub

After closing towards the end of last year, The George has now re-opened with a new tenant. For a while, it will mostly be drinks only, as works continue. Marson’s Pedigree on tap. Dog and people friendly. Closed Mondays; open from midday on other days; closed 3pm-5pm and after 9pm Tues-Thurs; Fridays open midday -3pm, then 4pm til late; Saturdays midday – late; Sundays midday – 7pm.

Village Hall – new hire charges

The village hall has updated its hire charges, applicable to new bookings from 1 July 2024. Rates are now particularly competitive for exclusive-use bookings for weddings and similar events. For more information, go to the village hall page or see the new Hire Charge Notice (a pdf file).

Staffordshire Farm Watch

We’re all aware of the rise in rural crime, particularly within the farming sector. Staffordshire Police are working with local communities in the Moorlands area to tackle these issues and have set up a Facebook page to keep everyone (or at least those who use Facebook) up to date.
